Course Title: Multi Agency Nuclear Emergency Response
Who Should Attend: Those with a role to play in planning for, responding to and recovering from a civil nuclear incident.
Aim: To provide an overview of inter–agency response arrangements and responsibilities for those with a role to perform in planning for, responding to or recovering from a civil nuclear incident.
This course gives a good insight into the multi-agency function and forms a good process/starting point in identifying the areas required for this type of emergency planning Martin Dodd, Civil Nuclear Constabulary
Objectives: By the end of the seminar delegates will be able to:
- Explain how the nuclear industry prevents nuclear incidents.
- Outline the relevant framework of legislation and arrangements that exist.
- List the roles and responsibilities of the designated responding agencies.
- Describe the arrangements and facilities that exist to manage off–site consequences of nuclear incidents.
- Describe the multi–agency activities that occur in planning for, responding to and recovering from a nuclear incident.
- Recognise the legislative changes that may influence all of these arrangements in the future.
