Who Should Attend: For Emergency Planners responsible for the planning and management of ERCs. Participants will include Police officers and Local Authority staff as well as other statutory and voluntary organisations responsible for developing a capability to deliver the range of ERCs including Survivor Reception Centres, Family and Friends Reception Centres, Rest Centres and Humanitarian Assistance Centres. Please note – this course is NOT intended to provide operational training. Those interested in operational training for rest centre managers should be directed to the WRVS website: www.wrvs.org.uk
Aim: To enable delegates to develop plans for the various emergency reception centres that offer Humanitarian Assistance to individuals in an emergency.
Objectives: By the end of this event you will be able to:
Pre-Requisites: A good working knowledge of the CCA will be assumed. This can be obtained by attending out ICP course. The Managing the Care of People in an Emergency course would also be desirable but not essential.
Progression: Subsequent attendance on the Evacuation and Shelter course may be appropriate.
