Course Title: Defence Contribution to UK Resilience

in association with the MOD. 

Who Should Attend: Those nominated by the military.

Aim: To provide a wider understanding of the roles, characteristics and responsibilities of the various civil and military organisations that could be involved in the response to a civil emergency or to a period of national tension, crisis or conflict. 

Objectives:  By the end of this event you will be able to:

• Describe the Central Government and regional and local arrangements and approach to resilience and Integrated Emergency Management (IEM)
• Describe the multi-agency approach and the role of Cat 1 and Cat 2 Responders at the local and regional level of response
• Describe the range and scale of military operations in the UK
• Describe the rules and conditions for Military Aid to the Civil Authorities (MACA)
• Develop a plan for a MACA task
• Describe the hazards and threats that challenge UK Resilience
• Describe the Chain of Command for UK Ops
