Course Title: Business Continuity Management BS 25999 Internal Audit

Aim: BSI’s “BS 25999 Internal Auditor Course” will assist you in developing the skills and knowledge to conduct audits and self-assessments against the requirements of BS 25999-2:2007, Business Continuity Management – Part 2: Specification. Through small group activities, audit role-plays and lively discussions, you will gain a thorough understanding of how to implement effective audit programmes for a business continuity management system.

Objectives: By the end of this event you will be able to:

Clarify the different purposes of BS 25999 Part 1and Part 2
Understand the Business Continuity Management Code of Practice, BS 25999-1:2006
Explain the requirements of BS 25999-2:2007
Plan an audit for business continuity management systems
Plan and conduct opening and closing audit meetings
Conduct an audit of a business continuity management system
Manage successful audit communication and interviews
Articulate and present audit findings
Write a succinct audit report
Conduct audit follow-up and close out.

Pre-Requisites:

It would be beneficial for you to have some understanding of business continuity and have good knowledge of the business systems in your
organisation before attending this course.
