Introduction

The Leeds MBA is ranked in the top 40 global MBA programmes (Economist Which MBA? 2006). It is rated 'excellent' for learning and teaching (National Quality Assessment Exercise 2001). Leeds is one of only a few business schools in the UK to have accreditation by EQUIS and have its Full Time and EMBA programmes accredited by the Association of MBAs. EQUIS accreditation is granted by the European Foundation for Management Development. This is a distinction earned by 86 business schools worldwide, including only 16 in the UK. The Association of MBAs is widely recognised as the guardian of MBA quality.

The Leeds Executive MBA programme enables executives and managers from business and professional backgrounds to combine part-time study with full-time careers, and can be completed in two and a half years. It is about executive and management development, with the emphasis firmly on business and management knowledge and skills, in a co-operative learning environment.
The programme is designed to expand knowledge of the fundamental elements of business and management; their integrative nature and relationships. It will refine investigative, analytical and decision-making skills, and will also develop the interpersonal, communication and influencing skills required to achieve results in today's rapidly changing business environment.

Leeds MBA students will benefit from:

The programme comprises compulsory core MBA modules and specialist option modules specific to management and civil protection. For those involved in emergency management or aligned areas, the MBA project allows students to apply their learning to a real business or management problem within their organisation or in the wider field of civil contingency.
