Training
The Emergency Planning College delivers multi-agency training in support of
national resilience. It is the United Kingdom's centre for civil
protection issues, and the only training organisation with a multi-agency
focus. We train some 6,500 people each year in a wide range of subjects at
our state-of-the-art facilities at Easingwold, North Yorkshire and at
venues throughout the UK.
Our courses are:

The Annual Programme of Residential Courses
Our residential courses run over two, three or four days. This allows you
to focus on learning away from the day-to-day pressures of work.
The Learning Environment
The Emergency Planning College is located 12 miles north of the historic
city of York on the picturesque Hawkhills Estate near Easingwold. As the
North of England's newest, and arguably finest, residential management
training centre we offer you the right mix of the latest technology and
personal service in beautiful and tranquil environment.
The Training Centre
Our new state-of-the-art training centre is set around the main 125-seat
lecture theatre. In addition 12 complementary seminar rooms equipped with
the latest technology including integrated AV with ceiling mounted digital
projectors, overhead projectors, flip charts and whiteboards are available.
These seminar rooms can accommodate groups of up to 100.
Library and Information Centre
The College's Library and Information Centre is home to the UK's
largest collection of emergency planning information and is the official UK
Documentation Centre for Emergency Planning.
The resources available from the library are wide-ranging, and include
books, journals and reports; a comprehensive collection of emergency plans;
live and tabletop exercises and CD-ROMS. The Information Centre offers a
fully equipped media suite with a remarkable archive of documentary and
news footage, computer and display support and wi-fi broadband internet
access. The Library offers a truly complete research package.
