Training for Emergency Planning Officers within the NHS
2007/08 Dates Now Available. These seven training modules are for those within Acute and Mental Health Trusts, Primary Care Trusts and Strategic Health Authorities who are responsible for preparing and ensuring the validation of their organisation's emergency plan.
Health Emergency Planning Officer Training - 7 Module 'Fast-track' Course
Following the success of the seven one day modules and the continued high level of interest, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) have commissioned an additional seven modules to be combined and delivered over five consecutive days. This “Fast-track” course will be held at the Emergency Planning College on Monday 10th – 15th November 2008.

Building on the success of the Emergency Planning Officer’s training modules we are now offering this 5-day training course to the Private Healthcare Sector, NHS Ambulance Trusts, Local Authorities, Devolved Administrations and Industrial Healthcare professionals. On successful completion of this course you will be offered the opportunity to apply for the Diploma in Health Emergency Planning (DipHEP) awarded by the Royal Society for the Promotion of Health.

Resilient Telecommunications and Information Management for Emergency Response 4-6 June 2008
Emergency Planning College in conjunction with BAPCO. This course supports the work of the Local Resilience Forum (LRF) Telecommunications Sub-Groups (TSGs) and enables those working in this area to hear the latest resilience guidance and telecommunications information in non-technical language.

Recovering from Emergencies
7-9 May 2008
For Category 1 Responders who manage and plan service delivery in education, social services, housing, emergency planning, voluntary organisations, crisis support teams and Primary Care Trusts. Others may attend e.g. Cat 2 responders and voluntary organisations if they are involved in managing and planning service delivery around community recovery issues.
Emergency Reception Centres
12-15 May 2008
Develop plans for the various emergency reception centres that offer Humanitarian Assistance to individuals in an emergency.
Fire Risk Assessments
14-16 May 2008
This is a practical course which will provide you with skills and knowledge to produce a Fire Risk Assessment in a recognised format, carry out the associated Fire Safety inspections and deal with issues relating to Staff Training and Evacuation Procedures.
